From the landing in Mauritius to departing 10 days later, the service we received was exemplary. We were welcomed by Nisha who expertly advised on the island culture and sights to see. We had 3 excursions, 2 of which were guided by Niraj, a superb friendly guide with a massive amount of worldly knowledge and a vigour we haven’t experienced before. Denis was our guide to Port Louis, his character and wit is second to none.
Throughout our 10 day stay, Nisha expertly facilitated our requests and kept us fully up to date with timings and venues.

We have had an amazing holiday thanks to Nisha, who organised our trips and itinerary.
First we visited Port Louis and the Central market which was a great experience. The market was an assault on the senses. Nilesh was an amazing guide taking us to the sites and was very informative.
The next trip we did was the 5 islands. One word WOW. This was incredible, we saw amazing fish when snorkelling, got to see dolphins, had a delicious local lunch and went to a spectacular waterfall.
On the black river gorge walk we got to see monkeys in the wild, swam in the water pools and saw some amazing views. After there we went to Flic & Flac for the beach and street food. Thanks to our amazing guide and driver we tasted the delicious local food. The beach was fantastic.
The next trip was Chamarel, we visited the 7 coloured earth which was spectacular. Grand Bassin was really spiritual and beautiful to visit. Next we did the crocodile park and got to feed the tortoise, hold a crocodile and watch the crocodiles being fed.
At the valley of colours we did the 1.5km zip line which was awesome, the Nepalese bridge which had stunning views and raced the luge karts.
During the whole stay we had the same guide and driver Nilesh. His knowledge of the islands was incredible and nothing was too much trouble.
Nisha’s communication for each trip was brilliant and everything she said she would do she did and her recommendations for the trips and excursions were perfect.

From the start of our visit to Mauritius the transfer to the hotel was quick and easy, the driver was chatty and gave us tips while staying here. Our first meeting with the rep Sarah was informative and she offered a lot of choice for excursions, Sarah even came back to the hotel a second time so we could book more after doing our research. Payment process is simple and you really do pay for what you get as it was 5 star treatment every time. Our excursion around the island with driver Ajay was a fun experience, excellent driver and lots to see and do. Our driver to the safari park was equally as nice and respected that we just wanted to sit in silence as it was quite early in the morning. Our third driver Antish was also excellent and waited for us the entire day until we got back off the boat. Would highly recommend this company to others due to the ease of knowing everything has been sorted for you with no stress. Hope to come back to Mauritius .

He got us through the channel to Gabrielle Island. It was perfect! ???. Yes we did on the boat. I saw 2 BIG blue fish snorkelling. So pretty! ?. Just brilliant Nisha. Only 11 of us on the boat. Crew were fabulous. I liked their safety etiquette, no rum before swimming and respectful of wildlife. Highly recommended! ?????

Coquille Bonheur are excellent. From our initial meeting with them at the airport to all the little treats they gave us along the way. They are really very professional! A huge shoutout to our lady that looked after us – Rachel. She was friendly, professional and nothing was ever too much effort for her or the driver.
Le Domaine de Saint Aubin for a Rum Workshop was a great experience where we got to see how Mauritian rum is made and also was given the most delicious snacks and rum to taste. A real Mauritian experience as it was in an old Mauritian plantation house. I would highly recommend it. The Catamaran cruise was great we had a lovely day and had the most delicious seafood BBQ and got to spend some time on Ile aux Cerfs. The waterfall was also a highlight as I hadn’t seen it before.

We were met by Sega dancers and given water to drink from recyclable containers. Our bags were well handled, delivered in our rooms and collected each time we left a property. The Ground handler was good at filling us in with information about Mauritius as we passed places of history. The Tours showed us that Mauritius has more to offer than food, relaxation and the beach. Le Domaine to see how the distilling of rum from sugar cane and rum tasting was really wonderful. The Catamaran Cruise with lunch is a great way for variety on the holiday.

Our driver and guide Rachel were absolutely amazing!! There was nothing too small that they wouldn’t assist with! I even asked for dumplings and they guided me through the streets of Port Louise to see if we can find some. They shared their Mauritian tricks on drinking rum and local music. The team took very good care of us. They were so friendly and informative they also ensured that we were comfortable, our needs were met and even when I came down with a fever, they were kind enough to stop at the pharmacy in order for me to get something to make me feel better. Knowing that your well being comes first when required, that for me was everything.
We visited Le Domaine de Saint Aubin to learn about the Mauritius sugar history were shown how rum is made from the sugar cane and we got an opportunity to learn how to make or very own rum cocktails. We went on a walking tour through the Port Louis market where they sell goods, fruits, herbs and spices. We experienced street food tasting and managed to buy some souvenirs for our loved ones. The dragon fruit, pineapples and custard apples are very popular in this market. I went off a full-day catamaran cruise when we arrived at Preskil Island Resort and Spa and cruised to Ile Aux Cerfs Island. We were given the opportunity to partake in water activities and take a dip in the sandy beaches. We then visited the well-known Grand Riviere South East waterfall.

I loved the ground handlers for our group. Very knowable, very helpful and so funny. Although we had to get used to the narrow, winding roads of Mauritius it was an interesting “driving” experience. Wonderful tours, definitely recommend all of them. I loved the fact that Thompsons allowed us to take part in “giving back” to the underprivileged children of Mauritius. It was an eventful day. Loved the Rum tasting tour, I never had the opportunity to experience the art in making the Rum, so I was very happy. The walking tour of Port Louis Market – great experience but you need to be very aware of your surroundings. You need to have your TOUR GUIDE with you at all times.

Best ground handler by far. We had Wi-Fi in our transfer, always had cold water and juice available on board. Our guide and driver always triple checked if everyone was okay always. Plus, the gifts we received were a nice touch. We went to a lovely Catamaran and enjoyed an authentic Mauritian BBQ on board. The gentlemen on board really made sure everyone had a good time. We also got to see Île aux Cerfs, definitely more commercialized than I thought but was great to see. Nice day trip for people who want an alternative to the markets etc. We also got a walking tour of Port Louis and visited the market; the market is very busy and can be overwhelming but definitely worth it as there are some nice gems to find. I wouldn’t recommend the Port Louis Tour for children.

The transfers were really pleasant and our bus driver was so kind. The fact that there was always water offered to us in the cute Thompson’s cup holders, was really impressive. The aircon on the bus was also a lifesaver! Thank you for the free Wi-Fi in the bus as well. No need to worry about long transfers with such a generous bus driver and top-class facilities. The rum workshop was so informative and lots of fun to attend. The Catamaran Cruise was an awesome experience and everyone on board always offered us exceptional service.

We had a Diya as our tour guide, and she became very special to all of us. Diya and our driver were always on time and always went the extra mile. Rum Tour – this tour was very interactive and interesting. I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The hosts were fantastic and we all had some great laughs during the tour. It was informative and I think we all learned a lot about Mauritian Rum. Port Louis – this was great fun! We tasted some interesting foods and learned about their traditional cultures which I absolutely loved! Port Louis is a must-do when in Mauritius. The energy and ambiance throughout the market was contagious!

Diya and Kushal were lovely. Diya was incredibly kind and very knowledgeable, and she took such great care of us with every transfer throughout the trip. Our bus driver, Kushal, was so humorous and kept our spirits high on every transfer with a great selection of music and jokes. We were also never worried about any of our luggage which arrived in pristine condition and intact at every location.
The rum activity was really lovely, given that the product is a Mauritian cornerstone. It was really insightful to learn about the rum distilling process and the setting at Le Saint Aubin was beautiful and had a wonderful rural and colonial charm about it. I really enjoyed the school activity. It was wonderful to be able to give back to the Mauritian community and wonderful to be associated with Thompsons Holidays CSR initiative. The vibe at the function itself was also lovely and it really provided us with the opportunity to experience a more everyday Mauritius.

Diya and our driver were excellent and quickly felt like part of our Group 2 Family! Nothing was too much to ask and they provided a wealth of knowledge and entertainment. Diya was only married for 2 days before escorting us and she was more than happy to have her “honeymoon” with us instead of her husband. If we ever had issues, like leaving the property on the bus by accident, a quick call to Diya meant that our possessions would be safely put aside until we got onto the bus again. The transfers were really a highlight in their own right as we learned so much about the local custom and culture for Diya and our driver and it was great to hear their insight. Top-class service!!
I loved the walking tour of the market in Port Louis. It felt like an authentic experience of some of the best of Mauritian culture and food. I enjoyed chatting with the various vendors and negotiating for purchases. The catamaran cruise was an enjoyable day out and something that I’ve always wanted to do. It was great that we had two groups on the catamaran and we were all able to chat amongst each other. The staff on board were great though and showed a lot of enthusiasm, which was really uplifting. The food was good and the stop on the island was worthwhile. Swaying on land when we got back to the hotel was not as much fun though
The catamaran would be great for a group of friends traveling, or even as an add-on for a wedding, when all the clients know each other and can socialize together.

We were treated to the warmest welcome, Sega dancing, and gifts galore. They always arrived on time for each and every transfer – even on a Sunday when it was their off day. I would like to compliment Kathleen and Sham for Group 1. The bus rides could be long but the music was entertaining and Kathleen kept our spirits high. I was very impressed that the busses had Thompsons branding, and that they are doing away with plastic. The bus was always clean, and for each transfer, we were offered water and juice. A stand out for me was that one lady had a filling fall out and Kathleen and Sham went out of their way to get her something from the pharmacy. A nice touch was even receiving a farewell gift. You know they are truly special people when Kathleen even cried when we said goodbye at the airport.
We got to go on a Rum tour and a Catamaran, talk about working hard! The rum tour was most informative, as you’re quick to taste the rum but you never know exactly how it is made. I really loved the service on the Catamaran cruise. Unfortunately, it was not the best sailing weather so we did not get to do snorkeling or swim in the ocean. It was nice to explore Ile aux Cerfs, it was my first time there, despite being to Mauritius previously – think this would be an easy sell as an optional extra as not everyone wants to spend 8 days simply lying on the beach sipping cocktails, instead you can drink rum on a catamaran.

The catamaran cruise was really great I was worried about getting seasick however the water was so calm. The island of Aux Ill Cerf was amazing I never knew that place even existed and it’s amazing they do have a small market on the resort as well which was really nice.

I truly learned a lot about the Mauritian culture warmth and diversity. I believe that should you spend all your time only in your resort you will lose out on all of what Mauritius is actually about and what the Island offers. It was amazing to learn about Rum, to walk around in Port Louis, to cook a traditional meal and the team build was a great ice breaker. The excursions and actives opened my view of the destination. WOW, I felt like family with Kathleen and Sham. It was so difficult to say goodbye at the airport.

I found all the ground handlers and transport providers to be very friendly, accommodating and very helpful. They really brought the local flavour to our sometimes-long bus rides and ensured that we were always taken care of.
The afternoon at Souillac with the underprivileged kids was a heart-warming touch indeed! I found the staff of Thompsons very accommodating and while the rum and cocktail workshop was taking place, they arranged for those of us who, for religious reasons, do not drink to have a vanilla tour. This was really greatly appreciated as I got to wander around the grounds of this beautiful colonial property with a guide! The walking tour of Port Louis was thoroughly enjoyable and sampling local food and drinks a great touch. The catamaran cruise was definitely a highlight, with the stop at Ill Aux Cerf and walkabout on the island. Then taking a little boat the see the waterfall a lovely touch!

I must say it did seem too good to be true as the gap between what they and other companies charge is so big. I am, however, happy to say that we have just returned from 10 days in Mauritius and everything went without a glitch. Please can you pass on our appreciation for the complementary transfers provided on our family holiday to Mauritius we have just returned from, the process was smooth, the vehicles were of a high standard and the drivers were friendly. I also met with Sarah from Coquille who was lovely when I was at Zilwa. On the return to MRU airport for our journey home, the traffic caused a little worry and Coquille provided a greet service, as we had to rush I didn’t really get chance to chat, so please pass on my apologies and appreciations.
Offering transfers towards the North is a must in Mauritius so we can definitely sell Coquille with confidence.

A full week with our driver Sham and tour guide Kathleen was absolutely amazing. The group got along very well and we were taking care of 100%. They were friendly and made us really feel like we're just another local on the island. I have become very fond of Kathleen in one week, with me being tour leader, she always kept me informed and always went through the itinerary before we get dropped off on a last stop for the day. The vehicles were always clean and the music good ?
The market tour after the workshop was fun to experience the pineapple carving and tasting the local sugarcane juice. It is very crowded and hot but that is the local way. Locals were still friendly and not off-putting. The Catamaran cruise was also a great experience – music and dancing is the only way to have fun. The fact that we were able to stop at Ile Aux Cerfs was amazing to see. On the island itself, easy to arrange water activities, visit the markets as well as having a meal at the 2 restaurants.

We have had an amazing day. Faryaz arrived on time and was very friendly from the start and has taken us on a very memorable tour of the island. He took time to tell us the route we were going to take before we set off and showed us his ‘surprises’ throughout the day. We have tasted rum, seen the colonial house. Waterfalls, forest region, volcanos, temple. We have been so surprised by the amount of places we have seen and learnt about.
He shared a lot of history of the island, the economy and the different trades and was happy to answer any questions. It is clear that he is passionate about his job and sharing his knowledge.
He is a great photographer as well as a great driver.

Feroz is one of the best guides we have ever experienced (and we have been around some places of the world). It was just marvelous, he is a wonderful experienced driver who made the driving a safe trip, very attentive and stopping at all possible places and plants and explained everything about it. Feroz is a walking dictionary I have never met anyone knowing that much about plants and animals. We have learned so much about the island and the background - it´s hard to keep all the information in our head, but we will try.
Every question we could think of, he answered patiently and with great knowledge, if it was about birds, history, weather or license plates (!). And the pictures he took from us will be a wonderful memory of a miraculous day on this beautiful island.

Our chauffeur Luc. What a wonderful man, from the moment he finally sat behind the wheel (two big heavy cases later) we seem to connect. This relationship continued throughout our stay on all four tours, we think he adopted us!
Our tour guide Sharon was equally wonderful. We met Sharon at La Pirogue, to discuss our activities, and found that she listened and acted on our requests, politely suggesting other places of interest, and suggested we discuss any changes to our itinerary with our driver... Luc. Sharon and my wife Anne kept in touch throughout our stay, which was wonderful, thus ensuring a relaxing holiday.
Sharon personally came by our hotel on our last day to say Au Revoir, Bon detour a la maison, this kindness was most welcome.

Yeah the day went very well! We went to the places and it was just beautiful! Took so many pictures, the lunch was amazing at a great scenery with the ocean and mountain areas! ? Very different and Kevin was brilliant too tellings us in detail of where we going and guiding us there too.

Earlier this month my wife and I were staying at Long Beach and continued our stay at Lux Belle Mare. Your company supported our airport transfers and arrangements during our time in Mauritius and we were impressed with the professionalism of your team.
I would like to make special mention of Feroz, the driver who took us from the airport on arrival and also the driver who we made arrangements with for a personalised tour on Friday 6th April.
Feroz’s knowledge, gentle nature, warm personality and sense of humour made the day an absolute pleasure. He was not an overbearing guide like some can be in other parts of the world, he knew when to engage with us and when not to, understood what we wanted to see and learn, and really made the day a special one for us. No request was too much, and he was polite, professional and friendly throughout. I’d recommend Feroz, and by extension your company, to friend’s visiting Mauritius.
I’d also like to mention Manisha who arranged the bookings for us from the Long Beach resort. Manisha shared Feroz’s well balanced personality, warm and friendly, but also professional and courteous. It is a challenging balance to maintain in service industries but Manisha did it wonderfully. We both walked away and said at the same time “wasn’t she a beautiful person”.
Both people shared a professional confidence underneath a soft and welcoming personality, and they were a pleasure to be around. They are a credit to themselves and to your organisation, so please pass on my thanks to them, and well done on having such committed and professional staff members.

We were escorted very efficiently to our driver Koushal who was very friendly and courteous during the transfer to the hotel. Once in the transfer, we were called by our agent Sharon to arrange the meet and greet.
We thought this was a special way and a good arrangement for welcoming your clients to Mauritius. It made it more personal and these services should definitely be kept in the future for all.
With our excursion, Koushal happened to fetch us every time. He was very knowledgeable about the country and we were grateful for everything he explained and taught us about the Mauritian people.

Concernant « Coquille bonheur », ils portent bien leur nom, c’est un bonheur, vraiment. Je ne me souviens pas avoir déjà été pris en charge de façon aussi efficace, professionnelle et agréable. Jusqu’à l’aéroport ou deux personnes étaient là pour faire enregistrer nos bagages, vraiment parfait. Les deux excursions ont été parfaites avec guide très sympathique et connaissant parfaitement son Ile, un vrai plus. Vos deux correspondantes Nisha et Sharon sont très agréables et adorables.

Regarding yesterdays' island trip - our coach driver was really nice and competent. The Cat cruise team was absolutely amazing! The snorkelling was definitely one of the highlights! The food and drinks served on the boat was amazing! The island itself was very nice, we went for the parasailing, all the people loved it.
We can definitely recommend it for anyone! Then again- the Cat crew were exceptional!!

Everything was perfect. Coquille Bonheur people were very friendly and helped me a lot when my bags didn't arrive. In fact, they came in the next flight, one hour later, and they took the group to the hotel and came back to take me and the bags.
The Shandrani is a very nice place and we had a wonderful time there.

Just to report back that the holiday was excellent. Hotel still up to its old standard, like returning to old family friends by now. Weather very much better than on our usual Jan/Feb visits, so we shall switch to November in future, but next time take in November 26 when the hotel celebrates its own birthday each year.
Your new agents Coquille Bonheur are a great improvement on White Sands. Very helpful on arrival but particularly helpful on departure. We did not check in online either going out or coming back. The CB man stayed with us all through the check in procedure, helping us overcome a few difficulties. We used them once to go to Chamarel and the diver/guide was excellent…..
Many thanks for the basket, already serving now as a bag for life, the rum and the telephone which we did use once or twice.
